Shave and a Haircut

Every year about this time, right before the summer heat is upon us, we give our dog Daisy a hair cut. It really is like the buzz cuts my brother used to get in the summer.  We put her through this torture once a year to cut down on the shedding and because she just looks so darn cute with all her hair gone. And I know how much I love cutting off a big chunk of hair right before summer, I can only imagine having to carry around a thick coat of fur. No Thanks!

Before the haircut:

She’s winking at you 🙂 Or is she doing her pirate impersonation (aarrrrg!)

She is a white Jack Russell with black markings (obviously you can tell this from the picture). When we first shaved her several years ago we noticed some black spots on her skin. Every year we are amazed at how many more there are.

After the haircut:

I wasn’t able to get a good picture of her belly, but it’s almost all black now. Here she is striking a pose for the camera:

Daisy’s version of Vogue-ing.

Next up, Ginger. Yah, shaving that spaz should be tons of fun.

LOL! I love the pics of the Russells…our little one is covered with brown spots, and more seem to pop out after a bath (or a battle with the hose). Our other one is covered with black spots…several people have asked if he’s part Dalmation. Ummm…yeeeeaaah.

Daisy does seem to want her share of the wine…our two beg for ice cubes out of cocktails. Little Russell lushes!
