Superbowl Stuff (a couple days late)

Our Superbowl party consisted of me, my hubby and the dogs. But that didn’t keep me from going all out with the munchies.

I think I love game day/Superbowl food more than Thanksgiving and Christmas food 🙂

And I’ve been in a cooking mood lately so Sunday was the perfect excuse to put to use some of the recipes I’ve been printing off the last two weeks.

I started out with a healthier version of buffalo wings – Boneless Buffalo Strips from along with the Spicy Blue Cheese Dip from the same site. I’m all over anything buffalo flavored and these were delish! For the dip I added a little milk to thin it out just a tad.

Next I made Sweet Bacon Wrapped Chicken from Paula Dean (love her!) with the leftover chicken tenders. Even though there is 1/4 tsp chili powder in the recipe these yummy treats were not spicy at all. Had to fight hubby for the last one.

We also had chips and homemade salsa, lil’ smokies in BBQ sauce, some carrots and celery because there has to be some kind of veggies with all this meat and fried stuff, beer and a bottle of Rolaids 🙂

While watching the game I knit a really cute hate from 101 Designer One-Skein Wonders by Judith Durant. It’s the Spiral Hat and I used some of the Pattons Beehive Yarn from my previous post.

The spiral pattern shows up much better in person than in the pictures. Or maybe I should play more with my photo software. Anyway, it’s cute and knit up pretty fast so I think it will be a pattern I use again in the future.

I’m calling it my Superbowl Beanie 🙂
