Runagogo Round 3

Thanks to Kim for sharing the link to Runagogo. Although I signed up almost a month late, I have been tracking my miles from the gym on my Cool Running Log (ya, don’t ask how the C25K went for me). Runagogo is walking/running/swimming, just moving in general and the goal is to do 100 miles of something by September. I’ve accepted that running long distances is just too hard on my body. I’ve made up a new work out program and so far it’s goin good.

First I start off on the treadmill for 20-25 minutes. Put on my mp3 player and walk the first song that comes on. The next song I run. I go back and forth with the walk/run combo. Sometimes I just get short songs to run too and other times I get longer ones. It’s a good way to mix things up and keep me from getting bored.

After I’m done on the treadmill I get on the elliptical trainer for 25 minutes. Every two minutes I go up a level of resistance to about half way then every two to two and a half minutes I come down a level. For the last two weeks this has been working good for me and I leave the gym a sweaty mess. Now if I could just talk myself into some strength training I might see faster progress on my weight loss.

    I like the idea of using the length of the song as your timer. I will have to try that!
