Happy Birthday To ME!

Yesterday was actually the big day, but the celebration started Thursday night with hubby’s family. A lot of people complain about their in-laws (I used to be one of those people), but I think my in-laws love me more than most in my own family, and maybe even a little more than hubby 😉 Anyway, it was a wonderful night made even better by sleeping in on Friday morning because I took the day off from work. I wish I could say it was a good day off, but I spent most of the day running errands and sitting in the horrible traffic. I swear everyone and their mother took yesterday off work. Otherwise, Boise’s got a lot of people who don’t work Fridays (lucky them). But at least I still have the rest of the weekend!

So here’s the birthday haul 🙂

After #1 – My cousin’s got me a wonderful pedi set that I’m so using this weekend. Sister-in-law got me the perfume I’ve been wanting forever – DKNY Be Delicious (yummy) and chocolate covered espresso beans (yummy again – love her), the girls from work got me a gift card for Chili’s/On The Border/Macaroni Grill, mother-in-law made me a fabulous lasagna dinner and gave me a gift card to Barnes & Noble, and my wonderful friend Kim sent me a big box of goodies

A bag of margarita flavored Jelly Belly’s, a very cute wine magnet, the Yarn Harlot’s Cast Off (I was just complaining to hubby about not having anything to read), a yummy margarita scented candle and some beautiful stitch markers. She’s really keeping me stocked on the stitch markers 🙂 I love them all.

Hubby took me out to one of my favorite restaurants: McGrath’s Fish House. If you’re in Oregon/Washington or the Boise area and want a great fish restaurant go to McGrath’s. When I was growing up in Salem we went their often. Wonderful food and always outstanding service! I just had to post the remains of my very delicious dinner. Say hi to Larry the Lobster:
