Packing vs. Knitting

It’s on…the constant struggle between my knitting and the much needed packing. After finishing my Clapotis I seriously thought about putting my knitting on hold until after we were done moving. I was going to do it until I had a slow day at work and spent 6 of the 8 hours I was at my computer looking at yarn on Esty, and patterns and FO’s on Ravelry. I came home that night and started another pair of socks in some of the Noro Yarn I got in February. At least I didn’t buy any more yarn, although I was very tempted :)

They are a pair of socks for my hubby and I’m not sure I’m liking the Noro sock yarn. I do love the colors, but it’s so sratchy. It’s hard to imagine these will be at all comfortable. I’m doing another basic sock pattern 1) because it’s for a boy and hubby likes boring old plain socks, and 2) with moving I need something I can pick up for a few minutes (or hours) here and there to do a few rows at a time.

So in this fight between packing and knitting I’d say knitting is winning because I only have two boxes packed so far. Two rather small boxes. Again I wonder how we accumulate so much crap for just the two of us.

Oh your Noro has much shorter color repeats than mine. I love that colorway. I’m hoping that with a good soaking, the fabric will soften up.

Let us know how the fabric turns out. I am very curious.
